Dr. Brian Benjamin

Brian Benjamin, Psy.D.

Dr. Benjamin (not a medical or dental qualification) is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and a Registered Psychologist in Singapore specializing in child and adolescent psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Dr. Benjamin also provides in-depth psychotherapy to adults and couples.

Following his national service within the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps, Dr. Benjamin attended New York University and the University of Southern California. He subsequently received his doctorate in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University, Los Angeles. His graduate training culminated at an American Psychological Association accredited internship at the Institute of Multicultural Counseling & Education Services in Los Angeles.

Dr. Benjamin has provided psychological assessment services to patients and students at the University of California, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Valley College, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and multiple group practices in the Los Angeles area. He now offers comprehensive psychological assessment services within the private practice setting.

By training under leaders in the child therapy field during his time in Southern California, Dr. Benjamin maintains an area of clinical expertise in providing comprehensive psychological services to young clients and their families. Dr. Benjamin often utilizes play-based interventions when engaging with young clients. During his time in the Los Angeles Area, Dr. Benjamin also completed an advanced two year, post-doctoral training program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy working with adults and couples in Pasadena’s, Rose City Center.

Following his Psychologist licensure by the California Board of Psychology and Psychologist registration with the Singapore Psychological Society, Dr. Benjamin established Benjamin Psychological & Therapeutic Services, an international private practice in which he continues to engage with clients based in the United States, Singapore, and other South East Asian counties. Dr. Benjamin also offers clinical supervision for mental health professionals.

Dr. Benjamin maintains professional affiliations with the American Psychological Association, California Board of Psychology, Los Angeles County Psychological Association, San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association, Singapore Psychological Society, and the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (Singapore).


Chloe Benjamin, AThR

Chloe is a British Art Psychotherapist based in Singapore. She completed her Masters in Fine Arts from The Slade School of Fine Art, where she was the recipient of the Euan Uglow Memorial Scholarship. She received the LASALLE Scholarship for MA Studies for my Masters in Art Psychotherapy at LASALLE College of the Arts and validating institutional partner, Goldsmiths, University of London, UK.  Her additional training includes BAAT CPD, EMDR (Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy and Art Psychotherapy CPD course) and Tavistock Relationships Certificate in Psychosexual studies.

Chloe works in a trauma-informed psychodynamic, relational and client-centred approach.  She specializes in working with adults, adolescents and children with a range of different profiles. This includes but is not limited to; learning differences and disabilities ranging from Autism to ADHD, physical disabilities, trauma and PTSD, attachment disruptions, anxiety, stress, depression, social and relational issues, emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Chloe runs individual art psychotherapy sessions at her consulting room in central Singapore. Chloe has also facilitated various community and arts based projects in Singapore, working alongside organizations such as Very Special Arts. 

Chloe holds a professional membership with and is registered as an Art Psychotherapist with the Australian, New Zealand & Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA), the Art Therapist's Association Singapore (ATAS), the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (APACS) and is an Affiliate Member of Singapore Psychological Society (SPS Membership number AF022001B) and The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).
